What is a Brake & Lamp Inspection?

California requires brake and lamp inspections when a vehicle is re-titled, including accidents and theft. The inspection must be performed at a state licensed inspection station, where an authorized technician will examine the vehicle to ensure there isn't damage to the brake system or lights, including misalignment.
